Christopher Jordan Chris is a photographic artist and teacher. He earned his MFA from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2004. He currently holds a full-time faculty position at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Prior to that, he was an Associate Professor at The Sage Colleges in Albany, NY. Conceptually, he practices landscape photography in the most general sense. Projects find him creating landscape imagery of both real and imaginary places. His recent series, Ablation Points, depicts fictitious glacial scenes as an extended metaphor for climate change, while Suburban Sublime presents luminous visionary events.
