Reykjahlid

The images here are from within a home in Reykjahlid, on the northern edge of Lake Mývatn. If you stay at a guesthouse, it will be a private home. It was very comfortable and appreciated, after spending the previous week sleeping in the driver’s seat! It was typical of a family home that could be found anywhere else in the civilized world. But unlike my home, it was immaculate! The owner was very hospitable, freely providing his advice about local destinations and letting me use his kitchen.
