ABOUT RSR
There was correspondence between a photographer and an employee of the military industrial complex. The latter provided 50 random mercator coordinates within a 400 square km area of Rochester, NY, with the former's house in the center. Ten of these sites were selected at random, located with a handheld GPS device and then photographed by the photographer. At the sites, some of the images were made according to chance (with respect to direction and angle of camera position), while others were made in a subjective and highly aestheticized fashion. Can you tell the difference? |
